Hi, I am Prachetas, a UX Researcher with 4+ years of experience leading Human Centered Design Studies.
My passion for research is driven by curiosity and charged by my ability to connect the dots to a bigger picture, along with my narrative abilities.
My Journey
I started my career in architecture to positively impact people’s lives. Soon, I realized that the technology industry can impact people's lives at a much faster, more exciting pace. This is why, after leading research and design projects in the architectural industry, I pursued a master's in Human-Computer Interaction with a concentration in Research.
Over the last 4 years, I have helped businesses grow by creating value for users. Some research studies I led include Human Factors & Ergonomic research for building design at Madhav Joshi and Associates, research studies for a 0-1 B2B billing portal for Securitas, a foundational study to identify business opportunities at Cisco, and Usability studies to improve AR/VR & Wearable Technology at User Research International.
While my knowledge of research methodologies has helped me lead successful research studies, it is my knowledge of design, development, and business that helps me bring cross-functional teams together. My ability to connect dots to see the bigger picture is the biggest skill I have acquired from my time as an architect.
Outside of work, I have co-founded 2 NGOs. I am passionate about following startups and emerging technology. I love to kayak, hike, and cycle.
Things I love
Convincing stakeholders for user research most of the time requires elevated efforts. It is at these times that I leverage books such as "Value Proposition Design" and "Articulating Design Decisions" to demonstrate how the research will create value for the business.

My NGO Love You partners with restaurants and community kitchens to eliminate hunger for the homeless.
Free India promotes a sustainable lifestyle through public speaking in India. We have received a state award for this NGO.

Following companies' growth and business excites me. It enables me to plan my financial investment. But the biggest boon is that I can talk and understand the business language, KPIs, and goals, and plan my team’s research strategy accordingly.

I love exploring. Adventure sports such as mountain biking, paragliding, and extreme hiking are my ways of being with nature. I have been published in state newspapers and local news for my extreme cycling activities.
